The Federal Government has asked the 14 states participating in the Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project, RAAMP, to carefully check the background of companies before contracting them.
National Project Coordinator, Aminu Mohammed, gave the charge at the opening of a two-day ‘project implementation strategic action plan’ on Thursday in Abeokuta, Ogun State capital.
Mohammed, added that sustaining the maintenance of the roads after the project would make the project stand out.
RAAMP is a project between states, Federal Government, World Bank and French Development Agency, designed to rehabilitate and maintain rural roads.
