Federal Government to Build Prototype Libraries in States

The Federal Government has said that it will build 12 Prototype Library in some states to promote reading culture among the youths in the country.

National Librarian, Chinwe Anunobi, disclosed this during the groundbreaking ceremony of the multi-million naira prototype Library building in Ilorin, Kwara State.

Anunobi, lamented the poor reading culture among Nigerians, especially the youth, stressing that this was responsible for the high rate of examination malpractices in schools.

The Librarian commended the Government of Kwara state for providing land for construction of the National Library edifice with minimal cost.
