Abia State University Chapter of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, has declared a lecture-free day.
Chairperson of the branch, Victor Nkemdirim, said this is in obedience to the directive from ASUU’s National Secretariat.
Nkemdirim noted that the move is aimed at mobilizing her members, and sensitizing the public on the looming strike action.
The chairperson added that the Federal Government should be held responsible if ASUU embarks on another total, comprehensive and indefinite strike action to press home her demands.
