Edo State Government has announced plans to ban the use of unregistered vehicles in the Benin metropolis and its environs.
This was contained in a statement signed by the Managing Director of the State Traffic Management Agency, Dennis Oloriegbe, and made available to newsmen in Benin, the state capital.
The statement stressed that the move is part of efforts to check the use of unregistered vehicles in carrying out criminal activities in the state.
It also warned car dealers to ensure that every unregistered vehicle leaving their marts must display their duly registered dealer’s number to prevent such vehicles from being impounded.
