NSCDC Deploys Special Female Squad to Public Schools in Akwa Ibom

Akwa Ibom State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, has inaugurated a special female squad to help combat security lapses in public schools.

While inaugurating the squad, the state Commandant of NSCDC, Abidemi Majekodunmi, said the formation of the squad, code-named ‘Blue-beret’, was in line with the directive of the Commandant-General of the Corps to secure schools.

Majekodunmi noted that the members had undergone rigorous training for the purpose of securing the nation.

The Commandant, however, added that the Blue-beret squad was designed to combat some illegal activities currently going on in some parts of the country.
