Ebonyi State Command of the Ebubeagu Security says it has arrested no fewer than 12 persons suspected to be drug peddlers in Afikpo South Local Government Area of the state.
This was disclosed by the Special Security Consultant to the Government, Stanley Okoro-Emegha, on Thursday during a press briefing in Abakakili, the State Capital.
Okoro-Emegha said the suspects were arrested in their hideouts, following a tip off from concerned members of the public.
He added that the suspects have been handed over to the Police authorities for further investigation and prosecution.
