Senate Fixes Date to Vote on Report of 1999 Constitution Amendment

The Senate has fixed Tuesday, March 1, to vote on the report of its Committee on Constitution Review on amendments to the 1999 Constitution.

This was disclosed by the Chairman, Senate Committee on the Alteration to the provisions of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Ovie Omo-Agege.

Omo-Agege noted that the report of the Constitution Review Committee would be laid at plenary, and copies distributed to lawmakers on Wednesday, February 23, 2022.

The Lawmaker, therefore, appealed to Senators to study the report ahead of its consideration and ensure they are present during plenary next Tuesday.
