The Katsina State Government has urged the Federal Government to deploy more troops and supply them with more sophisticated equipment to boost the terrorism fight in the state.
Secretary to the State Government, Mustapha Muhammad Inuwa made the call on Tuesday when the newly posted State Commissioner of Police, Idrisu Dabban, paid a visit to him.
Inuwa restated the commitment of the State Government to providing the necessary logistics support to the security agencies in order to win the fight against terrorism and other heinous crimes in all parts of the state.
The SSG, while commending the efforts of the security agencies in tackling the lingering challenges, charged them to do more, noting that many rural areas are still under severe threat by terrorists.
In his response, the State Commissioner pledged to do his best and expressed his readiness to synergize with other security agencies in tackling the menace.
