Ekiti Government Sends Warning to Private School Owners

Ekiti State government has charged private school owners in the state to ensure that payment for registration and renewal fees for their schools are done directly into designated government bank accounts.

A statement issued on Wednesday by the Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Olabimpe Aderiye, warned that the State government would not accept counterfeit receipts as evidence of any form of payment.

The statement noted that appropriate receipts for payment be obtained at the State Internal Revenue Service to avoid being scammed by touts and fraudsters disguising as government agents.

It stressed that the government would not compromise its standard in education service delivery.
