FG Warns Distribution Companies for Selling Electricity meters to customers

The Federal Government has warned Distribution Companies, DisCos to stop selling electricity meters to customers.

Addressing newsmen on Thursday after the weekly State House Ministerial briefing, the Minister of Power, Abubakar Aliyu, stated that the procurement is free of charge.

Aliyu said the procurement of four million meters for the second phase of the mass metering programme is ongoing.

The Minister advised under-performing DisCos to ensure the fulfillment of contractual agreements with the Federal government or face sanctions.
