Nigeria Immigration Service, NIS has launched an enhanced electronic passport facility for the South East.
Interior Minister, Rauf Aregbesola, who unveiled the centre on Thursday in Enugu State, said applicants no longer need the services of third parties to obtain passports.
Aregbesola noted that this would eliminate passport racketeering, touting and clumsy processes.
The Minister, while urging applicants to visit the NIS Passport portal to apply and get an appointment, advised them to have their National Identity Number, NIN and be ready to supply verifiable documents for easy processing of their applications.
