Ukrainian officials have said they have begun evacuating civilians from Sumy and Irpin, near the capital Kyiv.
The Governor of Kyiv region, Oleksiy Kuleba, said more than 150 people have been evacuated.
Evacuations began after Russia and Ukrainian officials agreed to establish humanitarian corridors to allow civilians out of some towns and cities besieged by Russian forces.
