Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly has approved Governor Udom Emmanuel’s request to raise N150 billion from the money market for the funding of ongoing projects in the State.
House Leader, Udo Akpan, during plenary on Tuesday, noted that Governor Emmanuel has assured that he intended to create the needed money within the money market, and not to take a loan.
Akpan stressed that the governor is a financial expert who knows how to create the money from the banks.
The House Leader added that their duty is to ensure that money meant for projects are utilized to ensure that the citizens benefits from the money raised to the State.
