Police denies plans on embarking on strike

The Nigeria Police has reacted to news alleging that some members of the force will be embarking on strike from March 26, 2022.
A statement issued on Monday by the Police Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, declared the information as fake.
The statement called it a mischievous attempt by unscrupulous individuals to bring the Force to disrepute, misinform the general public and heat up the polity.
It emphasized that the Inspector General of Police, Usman Baba is accelerating efforts to ensure the full implementation of the increment of salaries and allowances proposed by President Muhammadu Buhari and approved by the Federal Executive Council
