The Parents Teachers Association of Nigeria, PTAN, has expressed dismay over the extension of the strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU.
National President of the Association, Haruna Danjuma maintained that the continued strike would have devastative effect on the education sector.
Danjuma called on the National Assembly and states Houses of Assembly to intervene by bringing back ASUU and the Federal Government to dialogue towards finding lasting solution.
The President urged religious leaders and traditional title holders, non-governmental organizations, to find an amicable way out of the problems in order to bring an end to the strike.
