Anambra State panel investigating police brutality following the #EndSARS protest has submitted its report to Governor Willie Obiano.
The panel headed by Veronica Ume, recommended between N5m and N10m as compensation to the families of dead victims.
It also recommended that victims with permanent deformities should be paid between N1m and N3m, depending on the extent of their injuries, while those with minor injuries should receive between N400,000 and N1m.
The panel also recommended forensic examination of the Awkuzu and Nnewi #EndSARS offices, where extrajudicial killings took place, and the policemen involved in the killings be prosecuted.
