INEC List Operational Challenges in 2022 Electoral Act

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has listed its operational challenges as it concerns the 2022 Electoral Act.

INEC’s National Commissioner and Chairman, Information and Voter Education, Festus Okoye, listed voters register as one of its operational challenges, stating, that some communities are still inaccessible to INEC registration officers.

Okoye revealed that the commission has transferred the Continuous Voter Registration to its registration areas on a rotational basis.

The Chairman lamented that Nigeria lacks a reliable data of births and deaths, adding that Nigerians are unwilling to come forward and provide information on deaths.
