Abia state government has removed the former Senate President, Adolphus Wabara, as the Chairman, Governing Council of the State University.
A statement issued by the Secretary to the State Government, Chris Ezem, revealed that the state Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu, approved the dissolution of the Governing Council of the University with immediate effect.
The statement noted that the governor approved the reconstitution of the Governing council.
Earlier in the day, Wabara, had warned the state government that they will lose Abia if an Ngwa man succeeds Ikpeazu.
