Imo government assures utilization of gas reserves

Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma has assured that his administration will utilize natural gas reserves in the state.

Uzodimma, who was represented by his Deputy, Placid Njoku, gave the assurance at a sensitization forum for stakeholders, organized by the Revenue Mobilization Allocation and Fiscal Commission, in Owerri, the state capital.

He noted that the state holds the largest deposit of gas reserve amongst all Nigerian states, hence the need to harness the resource.

The Governor added that the effective utilization of natural gas resources to improve the livelihood of Imo people is part of the mantra of Reconstruction Rehabilitation and Recovery.
