The Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees, NULGE, has called on Nigerians to vote out political parties whose ideologies do not support local government autonomy.
National President of NULGE, Ambali Olatunji, made the call at the 8th Quadrennial Delegates Conference of the union.
Olatunji, who expressed worry over how state governors had mismanaged local government council resources, lamented that the third tier of government is under siege by state political actors.
The president maintained that though NULGE had demanded for political autonomy, fiscal autonomy and administrative autonomy, the union was still happy that fiscal autonomy was granted.
