The Deputy Inspector General of Police, in charge of South-West zone, Johnson Kokumo, has urged police officers in Ondo State to jettison the idea of embarking on strike.
Kokumo stated this while meeting with policemen in the state during an interactive session, on Thursday in Akure, the Ondo State capital.
According to him, strike action by the policemen is tantamount to mutiny, assuring that policemen in the country will soon smile as regards the payment of the increased salary.
The DIG urged police officers to desist from actions inimical to their profession, adding that President Muhammadu Buhari and the Inspector General of Police, Usman Baba are doing a lot to ensure the best for policemen in the country.
