Sokoto Government Denies Allegation of Diversion of Funds

Sokoto State Government has denied allegations that it diverted N189bn.

A statement issued by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Media and Publicity, Muhammad Bello, described the allegation as false.

The statement maintained that the state Government has established deserved reputation as champions of budget transparency and has relevant documents to challenge any report from anticorruption bodies.
