The United Nations General Assembly will vote on whether to suspend Russia from the Human Rights Council.
General Assembly spokeswoman, Paulina Kubiak revealed that the assembly will meet to vote on the resolution to suspend Russia on Thursday.
The resolution’s approval requires a two-thirds majority of assembly members that vote “yes” or “no.”
US Ambassador to the UN, Linda Thomas-Greenfield, brought the move for Russia to be stripped of its seat on the 47-member council.
