Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Godswill Akpabio, has handed over blocks of healthcare centers to Onna local government area of Akwa Ibom State.
Akpabio, who was represented by deputy director, housing and urban development, Ndukwe Ukpai, tasked the host communities to be dedicated in the protection and co-maintenance of the facilities.
He noted that rural residents often encounter barriers to health care that limit their ability to obtain the care they need.
The Minister assured that the federal government would continue to provide healthcare services to improve the challenges faced by Niger Delta people.
