The National Judicial Council, NJC, has issued policy directions on election-related cases to heads of courts.
Chief Justice of Nigeria, Tanko Muhammad, revealed that the decision was part of efforts to eliminate incidences of issuance of conflicting orders capable of disrupting the ongoing electioneering.
Muhammed noted that under the new direction, heads of courts will be held responsible for loopholes in their areas of jurisdictions.
