Makinde wins Oyo Governorship Primaries

Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has been declared winner of the People’s Democratic Party’s governorship primary election in the state.

The Returning Officer, Abdulahi Maibasira, declared Makinde winner of the contest having scored the highest number of valid votes cast.

According to Maibasira, the Governor polled 1,040 votes to defeat his rival, Hazeem Gbolarumi, who had two votes.
