Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma has assured residents of the State of Safety.
Uzodinma gave the assurance on Tuesday after meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
He noted that the security situation in the State has not degenerated to the level of asking residents to defend themselves.
The Governor expressed confidence in the ability of the Security Agencies in the State to curb the activities of armed men in the State.
This followed the call by the Governor Bello Matawalle of Zamfara State who asked residents of the State to procure licenses and arm themselves in the face of persistent attacks by terrorist.
