An earthquake has hit the Northern Philippines.
According to the Chief Press Secretary to the President, Trixie Cruz-Angeles, the quake, which struck the mountainous and province of Abra on the main Island of Luzon, was measured at a preliminary magnitude of 7.3 by the Philippines Institute of Volcanology and Seismology.
Meanwhile, President Ferdinand Marcos Jr, ordered rescue and relief teams to be sent to Abra, as he prepares to fly to the affected area.
