Akpan Emerges YPP Governorship Candidate in Akwa Ibom

The Young Progressives Party, YPP, has elected the member representing Akwa Ibom North East Senatorial District at the National Assembly, Bassey Akpan as its Governorship Candidate.

This comes a week after the former Gubernatorial Candidate of the Party, Andy Nyenime withdrew from the race, which led to a fresh primary.

The Party’s National Secretary, Vidiyeno Bamaiyi, after a peaceful exercise announced Akpan as the winner of the contest and issued him a Certificate of Return.
