The National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Iyorchia Ayu, has insisted that he would not step down despite calls for his resignation.
Ayu described those calling for his resignation as people who do not understand the goals of the party, noting that he was elected based on the laws of the party.
The Chairman stated that the current issues with Rivers Satte Governor, Nyesom Wike would hinder the party’s victory in the 2023 election.
Recall that some Governors and members of the party have been calling for the party chairman’s resignation, so that someone from the South would take over from him.
