Anambra State Governor, Chukwuma Soludo, has announced new taxes and rates on residents to take care of sanitation challenges.
Managing Director of the State Waste Management Agency, Mike Ozoemena, stated that the new taxes, took effect from October 1, 2022.
Ozoemena noted that the new rate was classified according to local governments which could be rural, semi-urban and urban.
The Director added that waste collection trucks would be procured and fueled for waste disposal even as more waste bins would be purchased and placed at strategic locations across the state.
