The Nigeria Immigration Service has ordered the investigation of a case of extortion allegedly perpetrated by officers at the Murtala Muhammed Airport, Ikeja, Lagos State.
According to Comptroller-General of the Service, Isah Idris, revealed that the investigation followed a recent outcry by a Dubai-bound Nigerian, who alleged massive extortion.
Idris ordered the withdrawal of the entire shift on duty at the time of the incident.
The Comptroller-General encouraged members of the public to contact the Service through its various public communication channels, to lay complaints and report any misdemeanor by any member of staff for appropriate sanctions.
