Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, has said it had not introduced the use of point of sale, POS, machines to receive payment of fines for traffic offences at patrol points.
The Corps Public Relations Officer, BisiKazeem, noted that it became necessary to explain to members of the public the difference between the Federal Road Safety Corps’ Electronic Booking Device, E-Tablet, designed for issuing traffic offence tickets by patrol operatives and POS.
Kazeem said that the Corps has advanced in providing necessary services to the people and has developed transformational initiatives focused on people, processes and technology.
He further stressed that the device is to improve robust data collection and speed up on-the-spot synchronization of traffic offenders’ information into the national database.
