Rivers State Police Command has advised political parties to approach the court to challenge Executive Order 21 of Governor Nyesom Wike, if they feel aggrieved.
The State Commissioner of Police, Okon Effiong gave the advice during a security meeting with political parties in the state.
Effiong stated that the police were not competent to challenge the order, noting that the police will not allow themselves to be put at the centre of any agitation.
Recall that Executive Order 21 bars parties contesting the 2023 elections from using public schools in the state for rallies without obtaining permission from the government.
