South Africa Parliament Rejects Move to Impeach Ramaphosa

Ramaphosa was accused of covering up the theft of a large sum of foreign currency from his farm in 2020.

The debate before the vote focused on an independent report which concluded he may have violated the constitution.

The African National Congress had told Members of Parliament to block a possible impeachment, although a handful broke ranks and sided with opposition parties and voted to accept the report and let impeachment proceedings start.
