The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has cleared the air over the arrest of ex-Director General of Obi-Datti Campaign, Doyin Okupe by the Department of State Services, DSS.
Head of Media, EFCC, Wilson Uwujaren said the DSS informed the commission of the interception.
Uwujaren noted that the security agency acted on a watch list request issued on July 18, 2016.
Okupe, who has been released, disclosed that EFCC senior officers apologized for the error.
