The Nigeria Immigration Service, NIS, is seeking partnership with a defence company on ways to check illegal migration and keep the country free from foreigners ahead of the coming election.
Comptroller General of the Service, Idris Isah, requested the company to manufacture a combat vehicle for the service that could tackle the challenges from different geographical conditions.
Isah noted that the service is a crucial agency that must be taken seriously to prevent external aggression across Nigerian borders.
The CG harped on the need to engage the border lawbreakers and bandits in greater strength of ammunition by procuring sophisticated defence mechanisms.
