At least one person has died of Lassa fever complications in Anambra State.
Confirming the death, the State Commissioner for Health, Afam Obidike, revealed that 15 other people have been put under surveillance.
Obidike noted that the state government had started contact tracing to round up and quarantine all those who came in contact with the patients for surveillance.
The commissioner enjoined residents to look out, and always report any symptoms to the ministry for immediate attention.
