Abia State Governor Okezie Ikpeazu will on Friday, swear in the acting Chief Judge of the State, Lillian Abai, as the substantive Chief Judge.
A statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary, to the Governor, Onyebuchi Ememanka, said that the acting Chief Judge is coming after the National Judiciary Council, and the State House of Assembly confirmed her.
Recall that members of the Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria, JUSUN, in the state have been on strike in the last three weeks over the non-confirmation of Justice Abai as the state’s substantive Chief Judge, among other demands.
