A former minister of aviation, Osita Chidoka, has asked President Bola Tinubu to implement removal of bank charges and reduction in the contributions to pension schemes.
Chidoka said the moves will serve as palliative to the sufferings of Nigerians over the removal of petrol subsidy.
He noted that the pension scheme has accumulated a lot of money, and now requires people to pay 12 percent of their salaries from the employers’ side.
Recall that the since the removal of fuel subsidy by the federal government, the price of petrol has increased to more than N500 per litre.
