Atiku Abubakar, the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) presidential candidate, was accompanied by people that Sam Amadi, the director of the Abuja School of Social and Political Thoughts, called “straw men.”
The declaration came after news broke that PDP chieftain Daniel Bwala had visited President Bola Tinubu.
Bwala, a fervent opponent of the ruling All Progressives Congress, or APC, declared that he would continue to back Tinubu’s government and that he would not apologize to anyone for his choice.
He addressed state house reporters following private discussions with Tinubu at the Aso Rock Villa in Abuja.
“I told him today, and I have no apologies to anyone, I am committing to play my part to support your administration,” he stated.
Amadi, who prayed to God to fortify Atiku, was not pleased with the development.
