As Nigeria gets ready to start their Africa Cup of Nations, or AFCON 2023, bid, coach Jose Peseiro on Saturday alluded to worries that the Super Eagles’ striking strength is not matched in other parts of their squad.
The squad led by African footballer of the year Victor Osimhen will play Equatorial Guinea in Abidjan on Sunday to begin the campaign for the three-time champions.
Even with a string of withdrawals, Nigeria still has access to some of Africa’s top attackers, such as Kelechi Iheanacho, Terem Moffi, Samuel Chukwueze, Moses Simon, and Ademola Lookman.
