Tinubu inaugurates student loan scheme Feb 21

President Bola Tinubu will on February 21 launch the Student Loan Scheme at the State House in Abuja.
The Executive Secretary of the Nigeria Education Loan Fund, Akintunde Sawyerr, confirmed this newsmen on Wednesday.
According to him, the official launch will coincide with the start of applications from eligible candidates nationwide.
Recall that Tinubu on June 12, 2023, signed the Access to Higher Education Act, 2023 into law, to enable indigent students to access interest-free loans for their educational pursuits in any Nigerian tertiary institution.
The move was in fulfilment of one of his campaign promises to liberalise funding of education.
