Kaduna Electricity Distribution Company has announced a ten per cent increment in salaries of its employees.
This is coming despite the company’s 110 billion Naira debt and other challenges before it at the moment.
It could recalled that the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission, in January this year dissolved the board of directors of Kaduna Electric over its inability to pay 110 billion Naira debt it owes the Nigeria Electricity Supply Industry.
The NERC then appointed Umar Hashidu as the administrator of the Kaduna DisCo in furtherance to Section 75 of the Electricity Act.
