The Abia State government has announced its plan to establish tuition-free schools in the three senatorial zones of the state, to train artisans who are currently lacking in the state.
According to the state governor, Alex Otti, the state Commissioner for Information and Culture, Prince Kanu, who spoke to news men on Monday night , the one-year programme, that is residential, will feature courses on solar power installation and maintenance, PoP, painting, mason and tiling, among others.
Speaking further Kanu disclosed that the development was in line with the state government’s interest in ensure the abundance of artisans in the state, as oppose to importing them from outside.
