Nigeria has recorded five incidents of vandalization of national electricity assets between February and March 2024.
The Transmission Company of Nigeria disclosed this in a statement by its Manager of Public Affairs, Mbah Ndidi, reacting to the vandalization of the Shiroro-Katampe Transmission Line.
Reports show that vandals brought down the Shiroro-Katampe Transmission 330 Kilo Volt, kV Line on Sunday.Barely three weeks ago, vandals destroyed Tower 70 along the Gwagwalada-Katampe transmission line on February 26, 2024.
The latest incidents add to the series of vandalism in recent times.
