A Federal High Court sitting in Awka the Anambra state Capital, has restrained Charles Ugwuh from parading himself as the chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), in Imo State.
The judge, Nnamdi Dimgba, in a judgement delivered on March 22 2024 and made available to newsmen on Thursday, upheld the resolution of the State working committee of the party removing Ugwuh as chairman on the October 24, 2023 as valid and subsisting.
The judgement ends the tenure of Ugwuh as chairman of the party in the state and also recognizes the Zonal chairman of Okigwe zone, Chidi Dike as acting state chairman of the party in line with the said resolution of the party’s executive.
Recall that in December 2023, Ugwuh was suspended over alleged gross misconduct and insubordination.
