The Federal Government has reiterated its support for the business community amid ongoing economic challenges, pledging to foster an environment conducive to industrial growth. Minister of Industry, Trade, and Investment, Doris Uzoka-Anite, addressed Nigerian Breweries Plc management, discussing the company’s Business Recovery Plan following temporary plant closures. The meeting acknowledged the impact on communities in Awo-Omamma, Imo State, and Kakuri, Kaduna State, due to these closures.
Uzoka-Anite highlighted the government’s commitment to sustaining industry and manufacturing, citing initiatives like the Consumer Credit Scheme to enhance purchasing power and sector-specific interventions in power and agriculture to reduce production costs. She also emphasized ongoing dialogue with the Financial Reporting Council to streamline financial reporting processes. The Minister assured stakeholders of the administration’s dedication to fostering a stable business environment, promising continued improvement under Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s leadership.
