In Ogun State, a fierce rainstorm wreaked havoc on Sunday, leaving over 40 communities without power, as the storm brought down electric poles and cables, causing traffic disruptions.
The Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company confirmed the incident, warning residents to steer clear of the damaged poles and cables. They urged against attempting any repairs, as their technical team was already working to replace the affected infrastructure.
While residents expressed concerns about enduring prolonged power outages, they were relieved that there were no casualties with the focus now being on restoring power supply as swiftly as possible.
