NAPTIP in Gombe recovers two trafficked children from Abuja, Lagos

NAPTIP, the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons, has rescued two minors believed to have been trafficked by their relatives.
Aisha Shehu, four months old, was found in Abuja, while 11-year-old Usman Kabiru was rescued from Lagos.
The Gombe State Commander of NAPTIP, Aminu Shira, affirmed the agency’s dedication to safeguarding lives, also revealing that the children’s recovery followed the arrest of 16 suspects in January, uncovering cases of child trafficking, baby sales, and sexual exploitation.
Shira emphasized NAPTIP’s unwavering commitment to preventing exploitation of women and children, pledging to continue efforts in building a safer and more secure society for all.
